Poem About the Beauty of Defining Strong Boundaries

Triangle Boundaries

It’s time to put triangles on my time
Protect my mind
Allow myself to swim
Feel my own energy within

Triangles around me
Each edge pointing towards intimacy
But the edges can turn
Press me too hard and they’ll burn

I’ll move them around
Put another stick in the ground
Where it’s meant to be
Perhaps not indefinitely

I’ll chose when i’ll lose
Lest you abuse
Where i’ll place my edge
Where I need to build my hedge

Otherwise i’ll set the fire alight
Giving you a terrible fright
Better I know where my boundaries live
And to be very aware of how much i’ll give
